Alps Day 4: Col du Glandon & Col de la Croix-de-Fer

This was another epic ride, with scenery right out of a storybook.

There were some professional photographers along the road taking pictures. You could snag a business card and purchase the photo later. Of course I did. (This speaks volumes to how many cyclists ride these routes every day!)

Boom, we made it.

This being France, somehow there is an absolutely fantastic restaurant located at the top of every mountain. Serving freshly-made food made with great ingredients. You don’t often see a restaurant with a pile of fancy road bikes worth hundreds of thousands of dollars on the ground outside.

It was a thoughtful touch to place road grade markings every kilometer along the big climbs. Bragging rights!

And we made it!

Time to celebrate with a smoky burger.
