I miss turboprops. They’ve all but vanished from commercial aviation in America, so I was pleasantly surprised to take one here. The experience of turboprop flying is louder, shakier, and more visceral than riding in the shiny Embraers that have taken their place. I suppose they still need these for their short takeoff performance at little mountain airports.
