An article in the New York Times reminded me of the atrocity that is the annual NFL Super Bowl logo. How it shamelessly recalls a couple of familiar (non-football) shapes!

The newspaper proposes a few alternatives which all feel fresh by comparison. My favorite is Aaron Draplin’s retro shield. Awesome.
