My
apologies, loyal readers, for not updating this site very often.
I’m still looking for new winter adventures. I did find myself paddling a rowboat through slushy frozen seawater to an island campsite in January, so that counts as one adventure so far. (The picture at the left, of Karen covered in ice, is one of several that I’ll be posting from that event.) And it looks like I’ll be spending at least a week in late March cavorting around China on the company’s tab. That has promise. But as for February—what to do? I’m feeling restless.
I went to a Bruins game last night but they lost so I won’t count it. Let’s start with tomorrow’s New England Belt Sander Racing Association championships. Then on February 17, there’s the old Model Engineering show.
What else? Ideas, anyone?
My day-trip list still says “Photograph Old Orchard Beach during the winter” but I have since learned that the Downeaster [train] doesn’t stop at that station between October and April. Poo.
I suppose I should buy a desk and a kitchen table so I can finally have my housewarming party.
Work has been busy. In addition, other people have been calling asking if I am available to do even more work. There is so much work to be done in this world that I am surprised that anyone is unemployed. If anyone reading this needs a job, call me.
I like Boston. It’s the only place in the country where dozens of highly trained law enforcement officers, fire officials, transit authorities, and city officials might mistake an illuminated cartoon character for a terrifying explosive device.
