I don’t know why I feel bad about East­man Kodak’s hard times. I’ve tried many of their emul­sions, and I’ve con­sis­tently hated most of them except for Ektachrome E100S. E100S was actu­ally a ter­rific film and I loved it. Nat­u­rally, Kodak dis­con­tin­ued it less than a year after I started buy­ing it. But I’m not a bit­ter per­son, and I love try­ing new things with an open mind.

So I shot my first roll of Kodak’s leg­endary Tri-X the other day.

I am pleased to report that it is total crap.
