I won­der: is the tech­ni­cally supe­rior image qual­ity of the Summicron-M 1:2/35 ASPH lens worth the extra weight and money, or would its older incar­na­tion be ade­quate? I have labored over this deci­sion for some time. Spher­i­cal aber­ra­tion is annoy­ing, but some­times I think I might be too picky. The Inter­net, of course, is evenly divided on the subject.
