Will all the country’s small newspapers give up on their cities?

A long time ago, the Minneapolis Star and Tribune changed its name to the Star Tribune. The Cincinnati Enquirer is now the Enquirer. My favorite (by name), the Cleveland Plain Dealer, is now simply the Plain Dealer.

I like it when the city name is part of the newspaper’s title, though I can’t explain why.
