Boe­ing has ditched its effort to pro­vide in-flight Inter­net access on its air­craft. I’m a lit­tle sur­prised. Stud­ies have indi­cated that most peo­ple want the ser­vice, but appar­ently few have been will­ing to pay for it. I guess the same thing hap­pened with the GTE (later Ver­i­zon) seat-back Air­fone sys­tem, which is also being dis­banded this year.
