  • On windy days, I used to encounter this guy on my commute downtown. I like his style.
  • The giant digital clock I built for New Year’s Eve has been a big hit at the office. Visitors from Sales keep asking if it’s something we manufacture. Top two requested features: digital temperature display and an automated “5:00 whistle.” I’m giving serious consideration to the latter.
  • Boston’s Old North Church has installed a bunch of light fixtures that I designed. Our PR people wasted no time arranging for an AP article that was carried by the Boston Globe and CNN. “One LED if by land, and two if by sea,” it says. Geez.
  • Finished reading Millard, “The River of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt’s Darkest Journey.” Great book. Next up is another tale about boating, “Nathaniel’s Nutmeg,” on loan from the Chez Mrhé.
