While investigating some noise in my track bike’s bottom bracket the other day, I discovered that my left crank arm forging is cracked all the way to the tapered spindle hole.
I happen to have super-strong (and super-luxurious) Sugino 75 cranks. If I have to buy another set, I’m going to be out $200.
This is frustrating. How could I crack such a ridiculously thick piece of aluminum? I don’t pedal that hard.
