When nearly all the great foot races of the world have all sold their iden­ti­ties to cor­po­rate sponsorship—the “Flora Lon­don Marathon,” the “Real Berlin Marathon,” the “LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon,” and the “ING New York Marathon”—the Boston Marathon is still just the Boston Marathon.

Kind of refresh­ing, isn’t it?
