I’m leav­ing Fri­day for a week or so in Egypt. The plan is to see Cairo, the pyra­mids, the Red Sea, much of the Nile, the Val­ley of the Kings, and per­haps the Suez Canal.

The rel­a­tively cheap air­fare means that we’re mak­ing some incon­ve­niently long stops at Dulles and Madrid. It looks like we’ll have 4-6 hours in Madrid. Accord­ing to the Inter­nets, the city is just a short train ride from the air­port. So the ques­tion, fel­low trav­el­ers, is: what is the best way to uti­lize 4 day­light hours in Madrid? Tapas?
