[35,000 ft.] over my dead body

I saw a funny newspaper article the other day about how British Airways moved the body of a passenger who died mid-flight up to a seat in first class. (So much for that upgrade!) According to B.A., about 10 people die on flights every year, and sometimes it is necessary to move them to minimize commotion.

This is a perfect opportunity to point out how much sweeter my favorite carrier, Singapore Airlines, is. SIA’s widebody Airbus A340-500s, designed for super long-haul flying, are the only commercial aircraft with “corpse cupboards” for discreet in-flight body storage. That’s what happens when airlines put passengers first!

On top of that, Singapore is notoriously stingy with free upgrades to first class.
